As someone who has been through the MFA audition experience 4 times now, I figured I have some sort of expertise on the process. Especially since I've gotten into a couple of schools this year (decisions coming soon!).

On my new blog, I'll write all about my experiences over the past 4 years, what I've learned, and then will continue to write...about...actory...stuff...

Head on over to thanksforcomingin.com and let me know what you think!

Columbia MFA - filmed class exercise

Written and Directed by Can Turedi

This was such a wonderful experience and I'm glad to have worked with Can (pronounced "John" - it just looks like "Can" in English) twice now in an in-class directing exercise and now in this filmed exercise. I was able to put into practice a lot of what I'm learning at The Atlantic Acting School in terms of seeing what's going on in my scene partner, letting that affect my behavior and using different tactics to get what I want. There's a whole lot of talent in this group!

Fun fact: According to the director and DP, I have a great profile.

With the help of the wonderful Julie Fain Lawrence, I spent the winter months prepping for MFA auditions for NYU, Yale, ART, ACT and USC.

The results? A fantastically fun time at the USC Final Callback Weekend in LA with some of the most deserving and talented actors of the future and a callback at NYU. This year was the warm-up, 2016 is game time!
